The challenge

Mathema is an online learning platform where more than 12,000 students attend over 55,000 one-on-one lessons a month with 1,000-plus tutors. Monthly support requests grew from around 6,000 in 2022 to roughly 30,000 in 2025, and the team needed to automate to keep pace without expanding headcount.

The solution

Mathema adopted HelpCrunch for multichannel support in a single interface, automated chatbot workflows, trigger-based messages, and a knowledge base with AI-assisted editing. In early 2025 it launched two specialized AI assistants trained on the knowledge base, one for parents and students and one for internal use.

We're handling 5x more support requests with the same team. That's only possible thanks to deep automation.
