The challenge

Guestline provides hotel operations software, including EPOS software running on desktops and tablets across over 800 hotels. The team deployed manually by copying code onto each machine in person, and estimated that rolling out a single minor update to all customers' EPOS machines would take over 2,800 hours and around 350 days at an estimated US$25,500.

The solution

Guestline was an early adopter of Octopus Cloud and used the built-in Tenants feature to automate updates across its large customer base, separating its cloud EPOS deployments from its on-premises Octopus use.

We were able to scale quite well, especially because of the fantastic support Octopus provides. It really did help us.
